Johnson, Mildred (McCoskey), 98, daughter of Roy and Sophia McCoskey was born at home near Howard, KS March 16, 1919. She passed away September 28, 2017. Mildred moved to Wichita in 1942 to work at Boeing and later at Dockum Drug. She married Ernest Johnson in May 1944. When Ernest was discharged from the Army, they made their home in Wichita, working and raising their three daughters. Mildred proudly served as an Avon representative for many years and later volunteered at the American Red Cross. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; and brothers, Harold, Melvin, Harry, Roy Merle, and John. Mildred is survived by daughters Melba (Richard), Betty (Daniel) and Lou Ann (Daryl); grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Travis, Mark, Kyle; step-grandchildren, Terry, Meredith, Sean and Cory; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Nadine, Thelma and Cora; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 5-8 pm. Monday, October 2, 2017 and funeral service 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E.
