Misty "Gator" Jo Moore, (45), of Wichita, Kansas, left this world on October 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 14, 1980, in Wichita, Kansas, to Terry and Joe Moore, Misty was a force of nature from the start.
Misty is survived by her husband, Jonathan Adams, her children, Ethan (24), Peyton (20), and Greyson Adams (13); her siblings, Crystal Apsley and Joshua Moore; brother and sister-in-law, Mike Apsley, and Tiffany Moore; nephews, Dominque, Bailey, and Mykel Apsley; nieces, Austyn and Tonyi Moore; granddaughter at heart, Athena; and a large loving extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and her beloved dogs, Lilly and LuLu.
Misty Jo is a warrior at heart with the most compassionate spirit and soul. She lived a life of experiences and was a role model for everyone whose life she touched. Her loved ones would tell you that she meant the world to them; she was strong, hardworking, loving, and full of life. Her energy, kindness, and love touched everyone who crossed her path, and she had this incredible way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved.
Her family has always been in awe of her strength that never wavered, even in the hardest of moments. She faced challenges with such grace and determination, and in the end, she was just as powerful as she was throughout our lives. Her love and light will forever stay with us all; to carry and shine forward for her.
Misty loved spending time with family and friends and could make any time feel special; from shopping trips, grocery runs, pool days, road trips, or some people’s favorite; nights spent watching movies together in her bed or on the couch as a family.
Misty's love of shopping extended to ridiculous love of shoes; fortunately, that love poured over into many others’ lives where she has now created closet storage issues for many families and friends due to their love of sharing the same obsession.
In accordance with Misty's wishes, she has been cremated and will be spread by her family as we continue to travel. A celebration of her life will be held in the summer of 2026. We will invite all who knew and loved Misty to join us in sharing stories, playing her favorite music, and spending time together in her honor.
