Myrna J. Criss

Myrna and Delbert Criss were united in marriage on Dec. 4, of 1943 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage before his passing in 1994. Myrna was an avid Wichita State Shockers Basketball Fan. Myrna was a pre-school teacher at Bruntons Montessori Preschool for 20 years. Myrna was active in Hilltop Urban Ministries in Wichita. She enjoyed hand work such as crocheting, sewing and quilting.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Norman (Barbara) Nielsen, Harley (Bonnie) Nielsen. Survivors include her loving children, John (Jeannine) Criss of Leawood, KS, Nancy Sherwood Criss of Wichita, grandchildren, Matthew (Angie) Criss, Laura (Andrew) Moore, Jennifer Sherwood Campbell and Michelle Sherwood, great-grandchildren, Cole and Cooper Criss, William and Charlie Moore.

Visitation will be Thursday July 13, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 14, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Dignity Celebrant Cyndi Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Kansas Humane Society or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
