Nancy Ruth Davis, 89, of Goddard, Kansas lost her battle with dementia and made the journey peacefully from the arms of her family to the arms of Jesus on September 20, 2026. She was born on September 14, 1937 in Greene County, Missouri.
For 37 years, Nancy devoted her life’s work to the classroom as a Kindergarten and 1st grade teacher, shaping young minds with steady patience and a gentle spirit. To countless children and families, she was more than an educator—she was a beloved presence whose kind-hearted care and compassionate guidance left a lasting imprint.
Nancy’s faith was central to her life. A Christian who loved the Lord for many years, she lived with quiet conviction and an inspirational example that was felt in the way she treated others—with warmth, grace, and sincere concern.
She also found joy in following Wichita State University basketball and baseball, cheering faithfully and sharing in the seasons with the same steady devotion she brought to all she loved.
Nancy loved life and people. She loved fiercely and completely. She was committed to children in every way. Her life's work was being important in the life of a child.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Phillip and Kathy Fellers and M.W. and Nadine Briley; her siblings: Darryl Fellers, Barbara Hartley and Phillip Fellers; her son-in-law, Zach Smith and her very spoiled and loved pet companion, Cuddles.
