

Scofield, Nancy A. 80, retired from Southwestern Bell, lifelong Wichita Kansas resident, passed away May 2, 2016. Nancy gave back to her community, she volunteered with the Red Cross Disaster Team who responded to numerous disasters. She was always in touch with those in her life, she enjoyed learning stained glass art with her sister, countless coffee dates and meals with her telephone Pioneer group and Red Cross friends. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her "fab four". She was a strong, caring, creative and talented lady. She loved to dote on her grandkids and great grandkids, she always encouraged them to follow their dreams. She will be dearly missed by those who were a part of her life. Nancy was preceded by husband, Ray Scofield; parents, Homer and Dorothy Garrison; brothers, Richard and Doug Garrison; sister, Dorothy Newton. She is survived by daughters, Candance "Candie" (Bob) Nygren, Sandra Scofield, and Carolyn (Frank) Heath; sister, Gloria Rump, Marilyn (Bill) Spofford and Judy Barnes; brothers, David (Cathy) Garrison, Homer Jr. (Randy) Garrison and Bill (Mary) Garrison; sister-in-law Virgina (Phill) Nelson; grandchildren, Shawnda (Brad) Denison, Trevor Heath; great grandchildren, Corwin and Joshua Denison; and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Fri., May 6, 2016 and funeral service 10 a.m. Sat., May 7, 2016 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 1900 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214.
