Nancy Marie Swanson left this life to be with her savior on November 27, 2025. Born on May 7, 1937, in Milwaukee, WI, to parents Joseph and Florence (Keppler) Toman. Nancy attended Mother of Good Counsel School through 9th grade and Ripon High School in Ripon, Wisconsin.
A career as a military wife and mother, and twenty-seven years in civil service, took Nancy to New Mexico, Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Kansas, the Philippines, California, and Germany, returning to and retiring in Colorado Springs in 2002. Wanting to be near family, Nancy moved to California in 2012 and then to Gilbert, AZ in 2014. After a wonderful 80th birthday celebration in Wichita, KS, she decided to move there, first settling in Maple Gardens in Wichita, Sunflower Gardens in Valley Center and then to Mount Saint Mary’s in Wichita.
God and family were the loves of her life; she also enjoyed friends, crafting, dancing, RV traveling and everything Christmas. She can rejoice and dance again with her Lord and loved ones forever. Her fondest memories and greatest joy in life include her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her travels after retirement took her on a cruise to Alaska, a trip to New Orleans and High School reunion in Wisconsin
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Neil Toman. She is survived by her younger brother, Tom Toman, children: Michael (Susan) Gabler, Patrick (Lora) Gabler, Sherri (Dean) Trasente, Christopher (Lisa) Gabler, Robert (Connie) Gabler, thirteen grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
