Oscar E Russell Sr.

Oscar attended Sharpless High School, carrying forward the values of his early years with a grounded determination that would remain evident throughout his life. Oscar shared a lasting love story with his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Russell. High school sweethearts, they were married by a Justice of the Peace, beginning a partnership rooted in loyalty, affection, and enduring family devotion.

With honorable commitment, Oscar retired from the United States Air Force and later retired from Boeing.

In quieter moments, Oscar found simple enjoyment in watching Westerns on television—an unhurried pastime that suited his appreciation for familiar stories and timeless themes.

Oscar was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann Russell; his brother, Robert; his sisters, Virginia and Clotene; and his parents, Carl Russell and Clara Mae Adkins.

He is survived by his sons, Oscar Russell Jr. (Susan) and Shawn Russell (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Amanda Abbas (Basel), Nicolas Russell (Caycee), Jake Russell (Jennifer), and Christian Russell (Kirsten); and his great-grandchildren, Elissa, Maryam, Nora, Max, Liv, Beau, Brooks, Teagan, Lachlan, and Declan.

A committal service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, on October 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm.
