Patricia Jean (Brennan) Egelhof

Patricia Jean Brennan Egelhof, born April 1, 1946 in Hastings, NE passed away on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 in Wichita, KS due to natural causes. Patricia “Pat” was the oldest of three children, herself, Edward, and Deborah. All born to Harold and Betty Jean (Sliger) Brennan. She had one son, Paul Brennan whom she adopted in 1995. She was married to Dr. Richard Egelhof, they later divorced.

Pat graduated from Wichita High School West, in 1964. She then went on to attend a year of classes at Emporia State University. At the age of 16, Pat completed her examinations for a driver’s license. The same morning, she flew her first solo flight and passed her assessments for her FAA student pilot’s license, studying under the supervision of Rip Gooch at Rawdon Air Park, Wichita, KS.

Holding various vocations throughout her life, Pat received her Radio Telephone Third Class Operator Permit through the Federal Communications Commission in 1980. She made her living in accounting and financial consulting.

Pat was an avid reader of classical books and enjoyed the piano. She treasured art, jewelry, cookbooks of all cultures, and a myriad of eclectic collections.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Edward. She is survived by her son, Paul, and a strong network of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24 at 11:00 AM beginning at the Ossuary at Lakeview Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th Street N., Wichita, KS.
