Patsy Harp

Patsy passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25, 2025, at the age of 92 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born to Paul Payne and Ella Beyen on February 9, 1933, in Elgin, Kansas. At the age of 17 she was adopted by James “Lacey” and Grace Leffel. Patsy was blessed with four siblings, Benjamin Payne, Paul Payne, Margaret Kennedy and Kenneth Payne.

In the summer of 1951 Patsy met the love of her life, Ronald Harp at a local dance. They were married on November 25, 1951, in Cedar Ville, Kansas. They had four children, Lloyd Melvin, Rhonda Sue, Lee Brian and Larry Bret.

Patsy enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching, cooking and she was an avid reader.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Ella Payne; adopted parents, Lacey and Grace Leffel; husband, Ronald Harp; daughter, Rhonda Durham; brothers, Ben and Paul Payne and sister, Margaret Kennedy. She is survived by her brother, Kenneth Payne; sons, Lloyd (Cheryl), Lee (Esther) and Larry (Jennifer) Harp; grandchildren, Robert (Teac) Fry, Benjamin (Elisa) Fry, Lucas Harp, Lisa Harp, Sarah, Jordan (Virjinia) Harp, Samuel (Lindsey) Harp, Lucinda (Blake) Heiman, Elizabeth Harp; great-grandchildren, Alex, Nicole, Timothy, Ruth and Greyson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
