Peggy Jean Krug

Peggy Jean (Handley) Krug, 81, passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, in El Dorado, Kansas. She was born April 9, 1943 in Woodward, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert C. and Frances L. (Stalter) Handley.

Peggy attended Goddard High School, where she graduated with the class of 1961. She also attended Wichita Vo-Tech.

After high-school, she was united in marriage to Robert M. Krug, Jr., on December 29, 1961.

Peggy was employed with Learjet for many years where she worked as a machinist. During her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and participating in many groups within the community such as the Women's Eastern Star and Ladies Oriental Shrine.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert M. Krug, Jr.; along with her parents Robert C. and Frances L. Handley, and siblings Jerry Handley and Patsy Ann Handley

She is survived by: her siblings, Bob (Celia) Handley of Seattle, Washington, Corrine Barnett of Grove, Oklahoma; her children, Marlene (Barry) Avery of El Dorado, Kansas and Robert M. Krug III of Wichita, Kansas; her grandchildren, Charlie (Karee) Miller of Kansas City, Missouri, Mike Miller of Wichita, Kansas, Nathan (Amy) Avery of Wichita, Kansas, and Nolan (Amber) Avery of Wichita, Kansas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. on Friday, August 30, 2024; Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 31, 2024, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
