Bauer, Peter J., 65, of Andover, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters on Friday September 21, 2018 in Wichita. Peter was born the son of Richard and Eileen Bauer on July 21, 1953 in Spalding, NE. Peter and Charlotte Joetta Bauer were married on August 21, 1976 in Andover, Kansas. Peter graduated from Spalding Academy in 1971 and earned his A & P Certificate in 1973, in 1975 he received his private pilot license. He was employed at Cessna as a Warranty and Agricultural Service Rep for the east coast. He retired after 35 years from Boeing/Spirit as a Quality Manager and an AS9100C Lead Auditor. Peter was a member of numerous organizations within St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church including Knights of Columbus, where he was a Grand Knight and a 4th Degree. He was preceded in death by his father; Richard E. Bauer. Survivors include his loving wife; Charlotte Joetta Bauer, daughters; Michelle Barscewski, Shannon (Brad) Baker, mother; Eileen Bauer, grandchildren; Benito Carrillo, Alex Carrillo, Paige Baker, Briana Carrillo, Riley Baker, Griffin Baker, siblings; Tom (Sandra) Bauer, Tim (Linda) Bauer, Peg (Donnie) Kahl, Bill (Rita) Bauer and Diane (Mark) Dvorak, brother-in-law; Terry (Tina) Wood, and 15 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wed. Sept. 26, 2018 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. A second Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday September 27, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul, 123 N. Andover Rd., Andover, Kansas. Mass and burial will follow in Spalding NE. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Knights of Columbus c/o St. Vincent de Paul.
