82, retired Cessna Machinist, passed away May 12, 2018. Phillip was born January 29, 1936 in El Dorado, KS to Faye and Mary Cartwright. He was preceded in death by wife, Shirley Cartwright; daughter, Kelly Phillips; parents and siblings, Faye Cartwright, Jr. and Freda Wilbeck; and grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda Phillips. Phillip is survived by son, Marty Cartwright; daughters, Debra (Dean) Lemon, Brenda Burton and Terry (David) Keith; son-in-law, Tom Phillips; brother, Gerald (Mary) Cartwright; 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16th and Funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2018 both at Resthaven Mortuary.

I played Fast-Pitch Softball in Wichita, Kansas with Phillip for several years beginning in 1968. He was one of the really good guys and a hoot to be around. Goodnight and Godspeed Phillip, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us... And me.
