Born on August 12, 1933, Phong was a devoted father, passionate about providing love, support, and stability for his family. He served in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam, retiring with the rank of second lieutenant. Following his military career, he excelled in business and finance, serving as the General Inspectorate for the South Vietnamese Government's Trade Control Agency.
On November 21, 2025, Giuse Maria Phong T. Duong reaffirmed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized, joining the Catholic Church. Phong is survived by his two children, grandchildren, great grand daughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will be remembered for his integrity and kindness. A Rosary will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home on December 11, 2025, at 5:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church on December 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM.
