

Phyllis passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at the age of 97 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born to Albert and Phyllis (McCarthy) Clark on June 1, 1929, in York, Nebraska. She was the second oldest of nine children.
Phyllis graduated from St. Rose Philippine Duchesne High School. In 1953, she married the love of her life, Edward Berry. Together they had five children, John, Thomas, Lisa, Lora and Susan.
Phyllis worked as a domestic engineer, taking loving care of her family and home. She was an avid reader, quilter and she enjoyed cooking and baking, bird watching, traveling, sewing, bingo, playing cards, attending daily mass, and she was an excellent gift giver. She was also a Nebraska Cornhusker football fan.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ed; siblings, Sister Maura, Tom, Dan, Chuck, Paul, John, Theresa; son, John and great grandchild, Viviana. She is survived by her sister, Carol Jeffs; children, Dr. Thomas (Janet) Berry, Lisa Berry, Lora (William) Kopper and Susan (Theodore) Sponsel; 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, from 6 pm – 8 pm with rosary at 7 pm and funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10 am, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1321 N Stratford Ln, Wichita, KS 67206.
