Phyllis June Jerrick (Emley), age 79, of Peck, Kansas passed away on Wednesday September 25, 2019. Phyllis was born June 6, 1940 in Emporia, Kansas to Luretta Emley (Grieder) and Riley Emley.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Jerry Jerrick; daughters, Nita (Michael) Trammell, Vicky (Clyde) Jacobs, Tammie Linton, daughter Karen Smail, and Sharon (Robert) Adams; brother-in-law Howard Duncan and sister Shirley Neice; grandchildren, Melissa (Aaron Mackley) Cole, Monica Cole, Crystal (Clint) Cartwright, Megan (Ryan) Garrison, Michelle Smail, Jonathan Smail, Ashley (Brandon) Brown, and D.J. Adams; great grandchildren, Alice Mackley, Kylie Cartwright, Kena Cartwright, Coraline Cartwright, Peyton Garrison, Caleb Garrison, Macie Garrison, Harper Garrison and Bently Adams.

Phyllis was preceded in death by; father Riley Emley and mother Luretta Emley (Grieder); brothers, Raymond Emley Richard Emley, Charles Emley and sister Betty Duncan.

A visitation for Phyllis will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at DeVorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary, with family present 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary service will follow at 7:30 PM. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N Socora St, Wichita, KS. Final resting place is at Calvary Cemetery, 610 S Vassar St, Wichita, KS.

Serving as pallbearers are D.J. Adams, Clint Cartwright, Ryan Garrison, Ron Jerrick, Rod Jerrick and Brad Seiter.

Aunt Phyl was a constant and joyful presence in many lives, compassionate and caring, a lover of life. She always showed interest and empathy towards others, particularly her large and loving family. She will be sorely missed but I am grateful that she was such a strong and constant presence in my life.
