Scofield, Ray E., 78, loving father and husband and passed away September 12, 2010. He retired after 37 yrs as a communication technician with Southwestern Bell Telephone. Ray was an American Red Cross Disaster Volunteer, past president of Local CWA 6402 and lifelong member of that union and a member of the Telephone Pioneers involved with Sunflower Camping Club #2. He was a driver for American Red Cross Medical Transportation, repaired talking books for Wichita libraries and loved to travel, golf and camp. His survivors are wife Nancy; daughters Candie (Bob) Nygren, Sandra Scofield, Carolyn (Frank) Heath; sister Virginia (Phillip) Nelson; grandchildren Shawnda (Brad) Denison, Trevor Heath; great grandchildren Corwin and Joshua Denison. Memorial service is 10:00 am Friday, Sept. 17 at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions to American Red Cross Disaster Services.
