July 14, 1958 – June 5, 2026
Rhonda entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 5, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.
Rhonda lived a life marked by faith, love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God, her family and her community.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, the love of her life, Doug. Together they built a life centered on faith, family and service to others. Through every season of life, Doug was her greatest blessing and most faithful companion. Rhonda was the center of Doug's world and Doug of hers. Their marriage is truly the most beautiful love story and a testament to enduring love, commitment, and partnership.
A devoted mother, Rhonda is lovingly survived by her children: Jill (John), Adam (Ashley), Matt (Christina), and Nathan (Kimberly). She cherished her role as a mother and was a constant source of encouragement, wisdom, and unconditional love to her children and their spouses.
One of Rhonda's greatest joys was being a grandma. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren: Elijah, Kira, Kaleb (Skyleigh), Britney (Tanner), Dallas, Zachary, Grant, Natalie, Xavier, Makenzee, Samantha, Trinity, Cheyenne, Adin, Gaige, Lakota and Phoenix. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Kieran, Luka (preceded in death), Palmer and Elio. Each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought immense fulfillment to her life. Rhonda also leaves behind the adored family dog, Sadie.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Elsie. She is survived by her siblings Janet (Phil), Kenneth (Barb), Keith (Jackie – preceded in death).
Nothing brought Rhonda more happiness than gathering her family together and celebrating the people she loved most. Some of her most treasured moments were those spent with her and Doug surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, filling a room with laughter, stories, and love. Seeing her family together was one of life's greatest blessings and brought immeasurable joy to her heart.
Rhonda was a retired restaurant business owner who dedicated many years to serving her community. Rhonda's home was a place of hospitality, laughter, encouragement, and faith. Her door was always open, her table always welcoming, and her heart always ready to listen, pray, and offer comfort to anyone in need. Her influence extended far beyond her family, touching the lives of church members, friends, neighbors, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laugh and smile will forever be remembered by those who knew her.
Above all, Rhonda's greatest passion was her faith. She was deeply involved in her church and considered her relationship with Jesus Christ to be the foundation of her life. Her life's mission was to help others come to know Jesus and experience the same hope, grace, and love that transformed her own life. Whether through her words, actions, prayers, or encouragement, Rhonda consistently pointed people toward God's love and grace.
Though her family deeply mourns her passing, they rejoice in the assurance of her eternal home in Heaven. Her love, wisdom, faith, and example will continue to inspire all who knew her. Rhonda will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
"Well done, good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:23
