

Fair, Richard Elton, 80, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Richard was born September 7, 1933 in Windsor, MO to Fred Newton and Edna Molinda (Weddle) Fair. He attended school in Holly, CO and Lenapah, OK where he excelled in academics and sports, especially basketball. In 1951, Richard married his high school sweetheart, Susie Lea Robertson and moved to Wichita where he began his 60 year career as owner of Richard Fair Roofing Co. Richard was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served faithfully in many callings. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and most enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Susie. Four daughters: Debra Pile, Haysville; Dana (Keith) Leslie, Topeka; Delyn (Gary) Conner, Ft. Worth, TX; and Dedra Fair, Wichita. Nine grandchildren: Joel (Diania) Pile, Janelle (Mike) Holt, Jeff (Kindra) Pile, Tressa (Norm) Bingham, Torre (Rob) Booth, Richard (Destiny) Leslie, Jennifer (Chris) Ingstrum, Megan (Homer) Reyes, and Kimberly Conner; fourteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Lorena Harvey, Haysville. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 20 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 401 Westlink Drive, Wichita, KS. Viewing 9:00 to 9:40 AM at the church prior to services.
