Richard Jaso

Jaso, Rchard “Rick”, 78, loving husband, father and grandfather passed from this world into Heaven October 5, 2015. He was the oldest of 5 children born to Gertrude and Joe Jaso. Rick was a member of the West Side Christian Church where he served several terms as an elder and loved Bible Study Fellowship, attending for over 10 years. He loved sports and played football, tennis, track and basketball in high school. He later would referee basketball and when his grandchildren came along he coached them in M.A.Y.B. basketball and little league football. He was very dear to those he coached and they would call him grandpa. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marsha Jaso; sons, Ron (Crystal) Jaso, Jeff (Becky) Jaso; daughters, Tammy (Mark) Mathes, Tina (Gary) Jaso-Andrews, Jill (Tom) Simon; brothers, Danny and Bobby (Brenda) Jaso; sisters, Kathy Gonzales, Dolores Moreno; 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and longtime friends. Viewing is 6 to 8 pm Friday at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 10:00 am Saturday, Oct. 10 at West Side Christian Church.
