Richard L. Lamson, 84, of Wichita passed away March 17, 2012. Visitation will be held 5-7p.m. Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Hillside Funeral Home East. Graveside Service, 2p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific in World War II. Upon completion of military service, Richard completed his studies in auto mechanics. After purchasing an existing automobile repair shop, he remained in that business many years specializing in auto transmission repair. Preceded in death by: wife Raymonde Barnhizer, parents; Floyd and Bertha Lamson, sister; Wanda Parr and daughter; Brenda Carmen. Survived by: brother; John Lamson, stepchildren; Patrick Barnhizer, Dottie Simmons, nephews; David, Charles, Todd, Reid Lamson. nieces; Susan Ferguson and Deborah Kelly.
