Richard Kenneth Richuber, age 78, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, in Sedgwick County, Kansas. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and grew up in Wichita, Kansas. After graduating from Liberal High School, he enlisted in The United States Navy and was stationed at the island of Newfoundland then Brownsville, Texas from 1965 to 1969.
Richard loved his son, grandsons, siblings, nieces and nephews so much. He enjoyed coaching his son and grandsons' baseball teams and was a New York Yankees fan! Richard was skilled in painting cars and airplanes.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Conner Richuber and his parents, Kenneth Wilmer Richuber and Flossie Ilene Reed.
Richard is survived by his wife, Paula Richuber; son, Darren (Vicki) Richuber; grandson, Dylan (Gretchen) Richuber; his brother, Chuck (Sandra) Richuber; sisters: Vivian Casteel and Voncille (Paul) Zimmerman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Richard will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 8, 2024 at 10:00 AM also at Resthaven Mortuary with a graveside service immediately to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory in The Garden of Prayer.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Richard's honor with Good Shepherd Hospice, 7829 E Rockhill St #403, Wichita, KS 67206.
