Richard "Rich" Louis Edward Rowe was born February 17, 1941, in New York, NY, and went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2026, in Wichita, KS, at the age of 85. He died peacefully of heart failure at Morningstar Memory Care.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Erickson Rowe; his children, Gabriel Anthony Rowe (Sarah), Eric Steven Powers (Linda), and Shawna Denise Geist (Mark); his grandchildren, April Rowe Jaax, Alexander Rowe, Preston Geist, Ashley Geist Garcia, Eleanor Powers, and Lucas Rowe; his great-grandchildren, Rowen Jaax and Hale Geist; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Rowe; his mother, Louise Schlereth Rowe; his brother, Raymond Rowe; and his brother-in-law, John Wesley Green.
Rich always loved being in front of an audience, a passion that began when he became an altar boy at a very young age. He served Mass every day before school and dreamed of one day becoming a teacher. When he later became a personal development presenter, coach, and consultant, he found the niche God had created for him. There was never any doubt that this was his calling — he was a natural!
Rich was a man of prayer. Every morning before his seminars, he would kneel and pray that God would use him that day to touch at least one person's life. He went on to touch thousands of lives on a deeply personal level.
He had the spiritual gift of encouragement and was a huge cheerleader to his audiences and to all of us — his lucky family!
His favorite phrase was "Seize the Moment," and he truly seized every moment. We love you and will miss you so much!
