Rita Mary Collins

Rita M Collins,. 93 passed away December 16, 2012. She was born in Girard, KS to Frank and Mary (Strasser) Hammerbacher. Rita was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; Robert Collins, daughter; Mary Fitzpatrick, son; Charles Collins, granddaughter; Karen Swartwood, three brothers, and a sister. Rita is survived by her two daughters; Patricia (Walter) Trollope, Cheryl (Michael) Swartwood, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 1-7p.m. today with a rosary to follow at 7p.m. all at Hillside Funeral Home East. Funeral Mass will be held 9:30a.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at St. Elizabeth’s Chapel ,Catholic Care Center. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials can be sent to Catholic Care Center or Harry Hynes Hospice.
