Gambrill Jr, Robert A., age 90, passed away on Monday February 27, 2012. "Bob" retired as a Commander, United States Navy after 26 years of service. He also retired from the Federal Aviation Administration as the Manager of the Wichita Aircraft Certification Office after 23 years of service. During his career as an aviator Bob logged a total of 18,000 flight hours and piloted about 280 different aircraft models. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Minnie Gambrill. Survivors: his wife of 65 years, Betty, daughter Patricia Wallace, son, Robert A. Gambrill III, one granddaughter, one grandson and one great-grandson. A memorial service is planned at Eastminster Presbyterian Church on March 31at 3:00 pm.
