Gfeller, Robert “Bob”, 87, of Wichita, KS passed away peacefully on Wed. Oct. 22, 2014 at Regent Park Assisted Living in Wichita. Bob was born on Oct. 31, 1926 in Junction City, KS the son of Niles and Mildred Gfeller. Bob and Shirley Gfeller were united in marriage on July 26, 1968 in Salina, KS. Together they celebrated 46 years of marriage. Bob served in the United States Army and merchant marines. Bob retired from Beech Aircraft in 1988 as an inspector. Bob was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita. He was an avid fan of the WSU Shockers Basketball for 60 years. Bob and Shirley loved to travel together. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Warren Gfeller, sister, Norma Liddell, step-son, Larry Burkholder, great- granddaughter, Avery Paige Henderson. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley Gfeller, daughter, Gayle (Rusty) Robetorye, step-daughter, Cindy (Gene) Henderson, 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sun. Oct. 26, 2014 with family present from 2-5pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Funeral services will be at 10am on Mon. Oct. 27, 2014 at First Church of the Nazarene, 1400 E. Kellogg Dr., Wichita. Burial will follow at Reflection Pointe Cemetery, Wichita.
