Robert James Mallinson, 69, retired aviation machinist, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born November 11, 1955 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Jack and Virginia E. (Giesing) Mallinson.
Robert was an avid car lover, including NasCar, but most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Cheyanne.
He is preceded in death by: his parents, Jack and Virginia; along with his loving wife, Janet.
He is survived by: his daughter, Shannon M. (Andrew Kiefer) Mallinson; his son, Bryan C. Mallinson; his granddaughter, Cheyanne R. Mallinson; his mother-in-law, Marcella Storey; along with his brothers, John (Marcy) Mallinson, Mike (Leesa) Mallinson, and Tom Mallinson.
Funeral Service will be held 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Meditation, Wichita.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Robert's name has been established with: National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016.
