Thacker, Robert H., 74, retired owner of Thacker’s Transmission in Wichita, passed away Dec. 30, 2011. He was born to Fred and Nel Thacker in Pikeville, KY on Mar. 31, 1937. Survivors include wife Virginia, son Wendell Thacker, brothers Gene (Bobby), Jimmy (Audrey), and Raymond (Linda) Thacker; sisters Olivefaye (Jack) Taylor, Shirley Fields, and Shelly (David) Tanner; stepdaughters Debbie (Sam) Gomez, Leatha (Dennis) Braland, and Jeannie (Bob) Barker, 13 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by former wife Judy Thacker and daughters Angie and Brenda Thacker. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wed. with services 1:00 PM Thu., both at Hillside East, 935 N. Hillside, Wichita.
