Rodney Scott Frederick, age 73, of Wichita, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Rodney was born November 27, 1946 in Wichita, Kansas to Lourie Shoffner-Frederick and HoBart Frederick.

Rodney grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas. He was a graduate of Emporia State with a degree in History. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971 and held a rank of SP5. He received several accommodations; National Defense Service medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary medal in Korea, and Sharpshooter (M-14, hand Grenade, M-16A1). He married Carol on April 27, 1974. He worked for Southwestern Bell and retired after 28 years. Rodney was a devout Christian and a member of Central Christian Church.

Rodney is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Frederick; son Jeff Frederick (Anna Frederick); brother Philip Frederick; granddaughter Ava.

Rodney was preceded in death by father HoBart Frederick and mother Lourie Shoffner-Frederick.

There are many ways to describe Rodney but Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle, and Teacher really captures what he felt in his heart.
