

Ronald was born in Wichita, Kansas, preceded in death by parents Eldon G. and Alladeen M. (Ableson) Haines.
He is Survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary (Hayes) Haines his three children, Rustin (Shannon) Haines, Andrea (Nathan) McNiel, and Cassi (Justin) Shurtz. Seven grandchildren who called him "Papa" - Elijah, Enoch, Shiloh, Selah and Ezrah Shurtz, Nate and Allison McNiel.
Ron was a veteran, serving in the Army Reserve during the VietNam War. He graduate from South High School in 1965. He owned Haines Printing, and later worked for various print shops in Wichita. He was a long- time bowler, bass fisherman (Wichita Bass Club), Schutzhund dog trainer, biddy and upward basketball coach(Boys and Girls), softball coach (Wichita Bullets Fastpitch), skilled woodworker and avid Wichita Shocker fan.
Until his death you would likely find him watching his grandchildren play softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, football or tennis.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Glenville Youth Ministries in remembrance of Ron's lifetime dedication to "the next generation".
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Glenville Church on Thursday, October 1 at 10:00 am, 4604 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67217.
A special thanks to Harry Hynes hospice and staff for the compassionate care given to Ron and his family during the past three months.
