Ronald L. Marler

Ron had many accomplishments and adventures in his life. He graduated from Dexter High School and later graduated from Coffeyville Community College. Ron and his brother Randy joined the Army in 1982 on the Buddy System. They went to basic training at Fort Jackson, SC and electronics school at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Ron then went on to Fort Sill, OK as a Land Combat Support System Test Specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1988. He started off his career soon after at Q-Corp in Derby, KS. His career took him everywhere around the world from Canada to Hong Kong to Australia. In 1991, Ron went to work for Legg Company in Halstead, KS as an Industrial Salesman. He worked his way up to Vice President of Legg Company and later Owner and Vice President. He patented, manufactured and designed conveyor belt. Ron knew everything about some things, but something about everything.

In May of 1996, he met Charmine and they married in December of 1996. Charmine is the love of his life and the mother of his four girls. He lived for all of his girls, his grandkids and most importantly, his wife. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He loved fishing, hunting, all things outdoors and especially riding his Harley alongside his wife. After retirement, he lived out his dreams of being a cattle rancher and building a house he could grow old in with his wife.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Marler and Betty Ford Marler.

He is survived by his wife, Charmine; daughters, Alexandra (Cameron), Cassandra (Luke), Victoria and Veronica (Anthony); 6 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braylee, Kohen, Blaine, Bailee and Cali (Austin); 2 great grandchildren, Micah and Onyx; sister, Elly Love of Udall, KS brothers, Rick Marler of Winfield, KS and Randy (Kathy) Marler of Winfield, KS and many nieces and nephews. Ron was a very loved man who made a deep impression on anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
