Pedie was a very private person who was loved by everyone that met her. She loved working at Boeing in Wichita, Ks for 20+ years being the first woman in Machine Planning. She was very proud of her job and where she stood in the Boeing Company during that era.
There was nothing that Pedie would not do for her family and friends that she loved. She was always witty and quick to make a joke, her laugh was contagious, and when she gave, she gave with her whole heart. Pedie was one to tell you the truth (in her own language) weather you wanted to hear it or not, but regardless of anything; you could joke, cry, and laugh together and you always knew she had your back.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Simmons and Reda Patterson; daughter, Tracie Simon; sister, Donna Kay Patten.
Survivors include her son, Jimmy (Christy) Taylor; siblings, Deborah Lynn Simmons, Reda Fay Shumaker, Greg Simmons; stepbrother John (Stephanie) Patterson; partner in (crime) life, Chuck Flickinger; step children, Kristie (Ron "Mac") MacMeeken, Kimberly (Rock) Hadley, Kyle Flickinger, Kevin (Sheila) Flickinger; grandchildren, Nick Simon, Michael (Alicia) Simon; step grandchildren, Trenton MacMeeken, Tyler and Juliana Schuckman, Hailey Stiverson, Jaidyn Stiverson, Kentlin Flickinger, Atlas Flickinger, Penny Flickinger, Cassandra Townson, Cheyann Nance, and Cole Nance; great granddaughters, Elizabeth Terry, Scarlett, Hollis and Lennon Simon; step great-granddaughters, Weslee Lamphier and Karsyn Yell; nieces: Danielle, Jennifer, Jami, April and Andrea; numerous great nieces and nephew.
