She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick James "P.J." Organ, in 1996; her parents, Ruth and Floyd Crouse; four sisters; and two brothers.
Rose was born on July 27, 1935, in Page City, Kansas, where she experienced an exciting and challenging childhood alongside her six siblings. After graduating from high school, she moved to Wichita. Four years later, she met P.J. Organ, and after three months of dating, they married in 1958.
Rose and P.J. owned and operated a bowling alley and grocery store in Wichita for many years. She enjoyed bowling, crafting, dancing, music, and laughing with her sisters on the phone. A notorious card shark, she also loved fishing and sharing the stories that went along with that. Rose was a storyteller who wrote beautiful poems about family and national events. Her jovial and outgoing nature will be missed by all who knew her.
Rose is survived by her four children, all of Wichita: Kevin Organ (Sheila), Elizabeth Rivas, Patrick B. Organ (Tracey), and Doris Burgos (Ron); seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A special thanks to her dear friend, Chrissy, RN.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67206.
