Rose Lane von Fange, 72, died June 30, 2026. Born January 10, 1954, in Dallas, Texas, Rose was the daughter of Jack Warnick and Edith Lorene Warnick (Jenkins). From her earliest years, Rose carried herself with a quiet steadiness—loyal in her love, gentle in her ways, and thoughtful in the care she showed to those around her. She graduated from East High School.
Rose devoted 15 years of her working life as a secretary at Boeing, bringing to her work the same reliability and considerate attention that shaped so much of her life.
On July 11, 1993, Rose married Howard von Fange. She was baptized at a Lutheran Church on the day of their wedding, and the couple honeymooned at Lake Tahoe. In the life they built together, Rose was deeply cherished—her warmth and welcoming spirit leaving a lasting impression not only on Howard, but on many who had the good fortune to meet her.
Rose found comfort and happiness in everyday moments: going out to eat, sometimes bringing food home to enjoy there; watching the rabbits and birds she saw each day around the house; and noticing the little children riding trikes and bikes along the street and driveway. She took pride in her independence and believed she could do anything on her own—an enduring resolve that remained even when she was in pain, and even when she often refused to see a doctor.
Rose is survived by brother Brice Warnick (Audrey); sister-in-law Karen Clausen; Sue von Fange; daughter Sadie (Donny Goodman) von Fange; son Paul von Fange; granddaughter Dacia von Fange; great-grandson Isaac; and nieces and nephews Krista (Shadd) Rohrbough, Steve Clausen, and Kaleb Blakemor.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Edith Warnick (Jenkins)and sister in law Silvia von Fange.
John 14:2-6
2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
