Ruth spent most of her time living in Arkansas, but moved to the Wichita area to be closer with her sister and brother-in-law, Fern and Ed Stephens; along with her brother, Joe Holt.
Ruth was a loving wife, aunt, sister, and friend. During her free time, she enjoyed being with her family. As an excellent cook, she was well known for making the best pies.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Gerald Cox on January 29, 2008.
She is survived by: her nephews, Ernie Stephens, Ronnie Stephens, Roger Holt, Larry Stephens, and James Holt.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. The casket will be open for viewing prior to the service.
Graveside Service and Interment will be 1:30 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Maplewood Cemetery, 419 Maplewood Rd., Harrison, AR 72601.
