

Sally Ann King, a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. Born as the ninth of ten children to Trinidad and Teresa Mora, Sally grew up surrounded by family and faith. She is survived by her three children: Anthony (Christy), Dorothy (Stacey), and Andrea (Tue). She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Victoria and Edward Martinez, Andrew, Brandon, and Christian Le, Courtney, Sydney (Coban), Anthony and Stevie Jane. Her surviving siblings are Maria Schmidt, Tony Mora and Joe Mora all of Wichita, Kansas. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Concha, Marina, Linda, Carlos, Alex, and Guadalupe. She also leaves many nieces and nephews that were a vital part of her life.
Sally was married to Allen W. Watkins from 1958 to 1969 and later married Edwin James (E.J.) King in 1972. She remained devoted to Edwin until his passing in 1992.
Sally dedicated 36 years of her life to Cessna Aircraft, where she worked with diligence and pride. After retiring, she found joy in teaching preschool at All Saints Catholic Church. She served as president of the Women’s Altar Society at Our Lady of Guadalupe for many years and also participated in the women’s guild at All Saints. Her leadership was instrumental in originating the church’s Taco Sale, a cherished tradition. Sally was well known for her exceptional salsa and tacos, which brought joy to many.
Sally’s legacy is one of love, faith, and service. Her contributions to her church, family and community will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 6:30 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2025; Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 South Pattie Street, Wichita, Kansas 67216. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
