Sharon Lynn Edwards

Sharon Lynn Edwards, age 80, passed away on August 2, 2026. Born in Lawrenceville, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter to Jane Wilkerson Shepard and raised by her stepfather, Bob Shepard.

One of Sharon's greatest pleasures was thrift shopping. She delighted in searching for hidden gems and treasured finds, often turning ordinary outings into memorable adventures.

Sharon's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly survived by her son, William Edwards and his wife, Donelda; her daughter, Julie Duncan who lives in Alabama; her grandchildren, Ty and Taylor Edwards; along with numerous extended family members, including two nieces, one nephew, and many cousins and dear friends whose lives she touched. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Jane Shepard; her stepfather, Bob Shepard; her sisters, Judy, Patricia, and Carolyn; and her son-in-law, Tracy Duncan.

A special place in Sharon's heart belonged to Gus, the neighborhood stray cat who brought her companionship and joy.

Those who knew Sharon knew she was a hardworking woman, who lived with exceptional honesty and unwavering integrity. She will be missed.

A Memorial Service for Sharon will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Rose Hill Bible Church, 1410 N. Main Street, Rose Hill, Kansas 67133.
