Sharon "Sherry" L. Foster

Sharon L. "Sherry" Foster, age 81 passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, with family by her side. Sherry was born March 10, 1942, in Waverly, New York to Robert and Elizabeth Cooper. As a child her family moved to San Diego, California in the early 1950's.

She attended Mar Vista High School in southern California where upon graduation, met and married Michael Foster in February of 1959. She spent the next 20 years traveling the world with Michael and their 4 children: Teresa, Sandra, Jeffrey, and Robert. The family moved to Wichita, Kansas in 1984 and have been here ever since. She worked as an accountant here until she retired in 2006.

Sherry was an avid bowler, WSU women's basketball supporter and season ticket holder. She enjoyed spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth Cooper and her sister, Roberta Jean Berger.

Sharon is survived by: her husband, Michael Foster of Wichita, KS; daughter, Teresa Foster of Wichita, KS and her children: Andrea, Zachary and Matthew; daughter, Sandra Foster of Wichita, KS and her children: Jennifer, Steven and Jon; son, Jeffrey Foster of Seattle, WA and children: Joseph, Ericka and Jeffrey Jr.;

son, Robert (Jenifer) Foster of Wichita, KS and children: Joseph, Connor and Chloe; and 9 great- grandchildren.
