She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas Shively. Sharon is survived by her grandchildren, Chanté Bentson (Mark), Megan Galliher (Andrew) and Andrew Shively; her great-grandchildren, Chloè, Jonah, and Maddox Bentson, Payton Davis, Easton and Remi Galliher; and her daughter-in-law, Carol Shively.

She considered herself the luckiest woman in the world. Why? Because she lived long enough to know her Grandchildren, Chante', Megan, and Andrew. Her Great-Grandchildren Chloe', Payton, Maddox, Jonah, Easton and Remi. To Love Them & Experience Their Wonderful Personalities in her lifetime! Who get's to do that? She never knew her own Grandparents or Great-Grandparents. They were all deceased before she was even two years old. Loving those Kids — That's what kept her going for all those many years, after she lost her Son, Douglas, the most valued, precious, and adored soul in her life! Love Is All You Need.
