Thompson, Shirley A., 81, of Bentley, Kansas passed away on Thursday November 2, 2017 in Bentley. Shirley was born the daughter of John and Thelma Bowers on March 1, 1936 in Bedford, Indiana. Shirley and Glen W. Thompson, Sr. were united in marriage. Shirley retired from Wal-Mart after 7 years. She loved her dogs, riding motorcycles, traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving children; Greg (Caroline Wilson) Goforth of Bentonville, AR, Vickie (Dusty) Green of Kansas, Kerry Goforth of Bentonville, AR, John Goforth of Bentley, Kansas, Glen (Connie) Thompson of Wichita, sister; Roberta (Carl) West of Salina, OK, 17 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Billy Bowers. Celebration of Life services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Shirley Thompson Memorial Fund c/o Lakeview Funeral Home.
