She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her cousins; Sisters of the ASC Community; and a myriad of friends.
She was a dedicated member of the religious community, having professed her first vows on July 1, 1962.
Her professional life included roles as an elementary school teacher Provincial Councilor in the former Columbia PA Province, Pastoral Assistant at various parishes in Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Maryland, and Holy Savior Parish, Wichita from 2009-2020. She held a Bachelor in Elementary Education and Master in Divinity.
Sr. Barbara was the one of the founding members of the National Black Sisters Conference in 1968.
Services for Sr. Barbara will be held at the Chapel of the Woman of the New Covenant, Adorers of the Blood of Christ, Wichita Center, located at 1165 Southwest Blvd. The schedule is as follows:
- Wake Service: Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm
- Mass of Christian Burial: Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10:30 am
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial fund has been established for the retirement of Sisters, ASC, 1165 Southwest Blvd., Wichita, Kansas 67213.
