Giles, Stan, 80, of Wichita, Kansas passed away Wednesday July 9, 2014 at his home surrounded by family. Stan was born the son of Walter and Opal Giles in Jet, OK on August 18, 1933. Stan and Lois Giles were united in marriage on Sept. 2, 1956 in Jet, OK. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage. Stan served in the United States Army as a medical specialist. Stan was a 5th and 6th grade school teacher in the Wichita School system for over 30 years. Stan participated in the Senior Olympics in track and field. Stan was devoted to the Lord and was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wichita. Stan was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his loving wife Lois, daughters, Pamela (Randall) Hare, Kathy (Kevin) Berrey, Deborah (Chuck) Shaver, 6 grandchildren, Kayla and Korey Berrey, Grissom,Carmen, Cressa and Charleigh Shaver, and brother Virgil Giles.
