I was saddened to read of Steve's death.  He has been a part of our daughter Sarah's life for over 25 years beginning when his dad and he came to pick her up in the van to take Steve and Sarah to work at Futures Unlimited.  He was a very sweet boy and man.  His mother Pauline and I shared stories and feelings about our "kids" several times.  I frequently visited with Steve when I went to Futures to pick up Sarah for a weekend visit on Friday afternoons.  He will be missed.    Pat Kerley and Sarah Kerley

I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing.  He holds a special place in my heart.  Steve was my favorite person to work with at Futures.  He brought a smile to me every day that I saw him, even on his stubborn days.  There was more personality bubbling out of him than I could ever imagine.  I know he is at peace now, I wonder if John Wayne ushered him through the Pearly Gates?  I am a better person for having known Steve. In his own way he taught me a lot. One of the best feelings in the world was when he would put his arm around my shoulders and call me baby.

So sorry for your loss...Steve was such a kind-hearted and loving person. He made everyone instantly fall in love with him with that ornery grin of his. I will miss all of his "Hey b-b-babbay" 's and how he could always make me smile no matter how bad my day had gone. Steve may be gone but at least we know he is whole now...He will never be forgotten!

Dear Kathy, I'm thinking of you at this sad time and praying for your strength and peace.  I think you can rest assured that you were always a good Sister to your Steve and he was fortunate to have you.  Take care of yourself and know others care.

Mrs. B. and Family, Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.  I will never forget all my years with Steve. From the first year working with him when he would refuse to go to work until Miss Grace had come through the door, or until the last time I heard him call me dude!  I have truly been so Blessed too have known and loved him all these years.  Thank you for letting him be a part of our family at Futures.  There will never be another one like our Steve.  I will never forget all the hugs and laughs that we shared. Praying that God will comfort you all at this time.

Steve will forever be remember and loved by everyone . He brought such happiness into everyone lives. I will always remember the times he chased me around the house telling me to "put em up" and I would put my hands up and say "don't shoot don't shoot". Steve would instantly smile and laugh and come after me. After he shot me i'd drop to the floor and tell Steve to "put em up" and he would and say the exactly same thing "don't shoot don't shoot and i would instantly say bang and Steve would drop down on the floor right next to me. We would just lay there and laugh. I am so deeply glad that i had the opportunity to bond and be there for Steve. Thank you guys. Hope all of his family takes comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over all of you.

Kathy,  I am so sorry to read this about your brother, Steve.  I remember you talking about him a lot.  May Peace be with you and all of your family in this sad time.

Pauline and Family I will miss Steve he was my buddy boy and I remember him going shopping with me on Mondays. He would always want to go so I could get him a Daddy Dew. I loved him dearly.
