Steve J. Otto
January 15, 1955 – July 27, 2022

Steve Otto passed away Wednesday, July 27th. It is believed that he peacefully slipped away early in the morning, sitting in his chair on his front porch.
Steve was born January 15, 1955 in Saint Louis, MO to the son of John(Jack) R. and Joan L. (King).
In 1969, the family moved to Goddard, Ks. where Steve graduated in 1973. He grew up with Terry, Phillip, Paul, John and Chris. Steve being the oldest of six boys. After graduating in Journalism from WSU, he went on to earn his Education degree from Newman University.
Steve was a political activist with a big heart and a keen sense of knowledge. He owned and operated his own newspaper in South Hutchinson, Kansas before writing numerous books, blogs and articles throughout his life.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Camillia "Cam" Gentry; and a brother, Paul Otto.
Survivors include his son, Ethan Otto, Ethan's mother, Mary Ann; brothers, Terry and wife, Barbara Otto, Phil and wife, Sheryl Otto, John Otto, and Chris and wife, Kathi Corbet Otto; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
