OBITUARY

Steven A. Atherton

January 24, 1950 – February 13, 2021

Steven A. Atherton, age 71, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Steven served in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1971, and the U.S. Army Reserves from 1971 to 1974. He spent most of his civilian career working for the Wichita Board of Education. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Darlene Atherton and his sister, Doris Shay (Kevin). Steven is survived by his siblings, Dennis Atherton, Anita and husband, Mike Beck, Darryl Atherton, all of Wichita, and Marsha and husband, Jim Mason, of Cedar Park, Texas. Private family services will be held at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is set up with the American Heart Association, 1861 N. Rock Road, Suite 380, Wichita, Kansas 67206.
