From November 16, 1965 to October 31, 1969, Steve was enlisted into The United States Navy as a Naval Mechanic and Engine Specialist. He loved fishing, boating, staying at Spring Lake, watching Nascar and going to the Kansas Star Casino.
Steve is survived by his wife, Alberta Sapp; son, Scott (Marissa) Sapp; daughter, Robin Miles; granddaughter, Kelsey Sapp; grandson, Tyler Sapp; granddaughters: Lindsey Miles-Sadler, Mariah Miles; great-granddaughter, Grayson Sapp; and family pets: Jax, Taz and Zeus.
A visitation for Steve will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A graveside interment with military honors will follow the visitation at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Garden of Gospels.
