Gronniger, Sister Terence, 95, entered eternal life December 14, 2010. The daughter of Joseph and Catherine Gronniger, Eleanor Mary was born March 5, 1915 in Dodge City, KS. She entered the Congregation of St. Joseph on March 19, 1933 and received the name Sister Terence. Sister served as an elementary school teacher and principal in Kansas and Texas from 1935 to 1972. From 1973 to 2010 Sister ministered as a chaplain at Halstead Hospital, Halstead, KS, St. Rose Hospital, Hayward, CA, and at Via Christi-St. Joseph Campus in Wichita. In addition to the members of her religious community, Sister Terence is survived by two nieces.
Wake service, Thursday, December 16, 7:00 p.m., Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, December 17, 4:00 p.m., both at the Wichita Center of the Congregation of St. Joseph, 3700 E. Lincoln, Wichita.
