

Bledsoe, Terry Lee, 68, died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at his home in Wichita, Ks., following a longtime struggle with complications from diabetes. Terry is survived by his sister; Sharon (Bledsoe) Wicks of Renton, Washington, brother; Richard Bledsoe of Nevada, Missouri, his children; Amy (Haner) Huhtala of Spanish Fork, Utah; Doug Haner of Brighton, Colorado, and Kathy (Parker) Chambers of Wichita and many close friends. Terry was preceded in death by his parents Arlie and Virginia Bledsoe. Born in Wichita, Terry was a lifelong resident. In his early years, Terry helped his father at the family-owned business called Standard Broom Company. After graduating from East High School in 1964, he joined the Navy and saw many ports. Terry returned to Wichita following his Navy service and attended Wichita State University (WSU) while working as a Blow Mold Supervisor at the Coleman Company. Terry graduated from WSU with a bachelor’s degree in business. He opened his own business, Natural Image Hairwear, where he remained as an independent owner until the time of his death. Terry was involved in his church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and remained active in his church callings even throughout his medical challenges. He leaves behind a caring ward family and many LDS church members who remember him as one that they could always talk to and one whom was willing to do anything he could to help them through their trials. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 29 at 1 p.m. at the LDS Maize 2nd Ward Building (7834 W. 29th St. North) in Wichita.
