Thad lived his life in his beloved city and state, Wichita, Kansas (of which he became a self-made historian). He attended and graduated from St. Joseph Catholic Elementary and Bishop Carroll High School. Thad experienced life as an adventure. He enjoyed music, canoeing, football, and Nascar, but loved K.U., war memorabilia, and “A Christmas Story”. Most recently, he was employed for 10 years by The American Red Cross, until becoming disabled.
Thad was preceded in death by his parents, Paul E. and Clara Hendren; son, Nathan Hendren; wife, Nancy Hendren; brother, Jon; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Survivors include sister, Lissa Straus of Wichita; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Thad lived and loved hard. He was very dear to and will be missed by all who knew him.
