Queen, Thelma I. (Hickok) August 25, 1929 - May 24, 2013. Retired from The Girls Scouts of America Heartland. Thelma was an avid bowler and was secretary of her women’s league for many, many years. She loved to snow ski, making annual trips to Colorado well into her 60’s before a knee injury. She was an active member of the Eastern Star for 50 years. Preceded in death by her husband Walter. Survivors include: Sons Roger (Sally) of Waxahachie , Tx, Rick (Beth) of Wichita, Greg (Wanda) of Atlanta, Ga., Steve (Sherri) of Scandia, Mi., Grandchildren: Sarah Bradshaw, Matt Queen, Derrick LeGrande, Kala LeGrande, Tanner Queen, Jesse Queen, Dylan Queen, Tammi Troiber, Joe Troiber, Michael Troiber and 10 Great Grandchildren, Brother Ted (Charlene). Visitation with family is 5 to 7 pm Tuesday and funeral service is 10:00 am Wednesday, May 29 at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Girls Scouts of Kansas Heartland.
