Thelma D. Silver

Silver, Thelma D., 80, of Wichita, KS passed away peacefully on Tues. Dec. 30, 2014 at her home in Wichita, KS. Thelma was born in Fall River, KS on Sept. 2, 1934 the daughter of Clarence and Vesper Blanck. Thelma retired from Beech Aircraft in 1997 after serving 31 years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary for Women. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Kevin W. Silver, brother, Raymond Blanck, sister, Carol Riemer. Survivors include her loving children, Nikki (Mike) Goodson of Wichita, Jerry Silver of Wichita, Tanya (Roger) Driskell of Wichita, Tracy (Cindy) Silver of Wichita, brother, Vernon Blanck of Houston, TX, niece, Carol Silver of El Dorado, KS, 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Thelma will be held on Fri. Jan. 2, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Funeral services for Thelma will be at 1pm on Sat. Jan. 3, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church, 3310 E. Pawnee, Wichita. Burial will follow in Virgil, Kansas. Memorials can be made to the Grace Lutheran Church or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
